What Google's AI Actually Says When You Search My Name (And Why I'm Not Mad About It)
Accessible Marketing | Neurodiversity Consulting | ADHD in Business | Leicester UK
I'll be honest with you: I Google myself. Not out of vanity (well, maybe a bit), but because I'm genuinely curious what AI search tools tell people about my work when I'm not in the room.
What I found surprised me…… in the best possible way.
When AI Becomes Your Accidental Brand Ambassador
Type "Tania Gerard Digital" into Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or any AI-powered search engine right now. Go on, I'll wait.
What comes back isn't just a list of services or LinkedIn credentials. The algorithms have picked up on something specific: impact, lived experience, and results that actually move the needle for businesses struggling with accessibility compliance and neurodiversity inclusion.
As someone who's spent the past 18 months building a consultancy from scratch whilst navigating my own ADHD and autism, seeing AI tools accurately represent what we do feels like validation I didn't know I needed.
The UK's First? Let's Talk About What That Really Means
Search results consistently highlight that Tania Gerard Digital is recognised as one of the UK's first consultancies led by an ADHD and autism expert, helping businesses identify improvements to reach more customers through accessibility assessments.
But here's the thing about being "first"—it's not actually about winning some made-up race. It's about showing up when most businesses didn't even realise they needed this work.
When I launched in early 2024, I was testing an idea. Would anyone actually want to learn about neurodivergence and accessibility in business? Turns out, they really, really did.
What started in Q1 2024 as a solo consultancy has quickly grown into an in-demand service for businesses across industries, working with major brands including the NHS, Greene King, Help For Heroes and Swim England. Nice.
From Burnout to Building: The Origin Story AI Keeps Citing
The search engines don't shy away from my backstory, and neither will I.
I started my career as a digital assistant, working my way up to Head of Digital in the creative industry. On paper, I was climbing that proverbial ladder. In reality, my mental health was suffering, and I knew that if I wanted to build a happy and healthy future for myself, I needed to take a step back.
That decision terrified me. Society tells us that taking a step back is failure. But stepping back gave me the space to truly understand my ADHD and autism, going through intensive training with ADDCA (ADHD Coaching Academy) and IAAP (International Association of Accessibility Professionals).
What I learned during that time? That became the foundation for everything we do now at Tania Gerard Digital.
The "Neurodiverse Disaster" Email That Changed Everything
Can we talk about the most ADHD thing I've ever done professionally?
In the foundational step of Tania Gerard Digital, I was so excited to launch and find clients who wanted to make real difference in their company. I accidentally sent out an email with the subject line: "Join us for a neuro-diverse disaster online next week!"
My hands somehow wrote "discussion" into "disaster," and I hit send without noticing. Pure ADHD moment.
At first, I panicked. I was really worried it would make me look unprofessional. But then I turned it into an opportunity. I sent a follow-up email owning the mistake: "Well, THAT was certainly a neurodiverse disaster!"
The response? Overwhelming support. People appreciated the authenticity. That moment taught me something crucial: my clients don't want corporate polish. They want real solutions from someone who genuinely understands what it's like to be neurodivergent in a neurotypical business world.
AI search tools now cite that story. I love that.
Accessible Marketing Isn't Theoretical, It's Business-Critical. Oh yeah.
As a neurodiversity trainer, accessible marketing consultant, TEDx Speaker and ADHD UK Ambassador (adhd peeps love titles, didn’t you know?) , I use lived experience to transform how organisations treat both employees and customers.
Let me be blunt: if your messaging isn't accessible, you will never reach 100% of your audience. Full stop.
One of our clients redesigned their website for accessibility and saw a 20% jump in engagement not just from disabled customers, but consumers of all abilities and backgrounds.
That's what happens when you stop treating accessibility like a compliance tick-box exercise and start treating it like the competitive advantage it actually is.
The IMPACT™ Framework: Accessible Marketing That Actually Works
I presented the IMPACT™ Framework in my TEDx talk "Accessible Marketing: A Small Shift for Big Impact." It's the methodology we use with companies to make their marketing truly inclusive.
This framework goes beyond WCAG 2.2 standards. Our accessibility assessments provide clear guidance and practical next steps that address real cognitive needs, the kind traditional audits miss entirely.
From half-day team sessions to leadership consulting, we help managers support neurodivergent employees effectively. We build empowering workplaces where neurodivergent employees can take their masks off and be productive.
A senior representative from Greene King said: "It was great to have Tania as part of our journey to inclusion, it's always a pleasure to work with her and incorporate her thoughts into our FY25 strategy. She brings clarity, empathy and humour to a topic many people are afraid to explore."
In terms of Greene King they have been our number one ally, hiring us for a long time with autism and adhd training, assessments, consultations - the works. Love. that. team.
Beyond Consultancy: Speaking Truth to Power
I'm now highly sought after as a keynote speaker (didn’’t you know!). When hired as a speaker, I inspire audiences to become inclusive leaders and shape inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.
I co-host ADHD Founders Unfiltered podcast on Spotify, and I've been featured on BBC Radio, in Freelancer Magazine, and at conferences including Nottingham Digital Summit, Create Leicester, and Digital Women Live.
I was named Digital Woman of the Year 2025 at the Digital Women Awards and one of Alt Marketing School's 100 Marketers to Watch in 2025 (and as of this morning 2026!). I serve as an ADHD UK Ambassador and advisor to the UK Parliament ADHD Champions.
But here's what matters more than any award: businesses are making real difference in people's lives, not just through business strategy but through real actionable change in how workplaces and marketing teams embrace neurodivergence. I genuinely wished my service existed when I needed it.
The Next Generation Deserves Better
We also work directly with educational institutions and charities, like WYK Digital and Leicestershire Cares, to ensure that the next generation enters the workplace equipped with the knowledge and confidence to advocate for themselves.
I spent years thinking I was just "bad at adulting." I couldn't understand why I found focus so difficult or why I burned out so quickly in typical workplaces. My autism diagnosis changed everything—it gave me the tools to stop masking and start building a life that actually works for me.
I want young people in the Black Country, West Midlands (where I was born) to see that there's no one right way to work, communicate, or succeed. If you feel different, that's not a flaw. That's your gift to the world.
And that philosophy applies to businesses too. When you build systems that work for neurodivergent people, you build better systems for everyone.
Why AI Search Tools Keep Highlighting This Work
At Tania Gerard Digital, I combine a decade of digital marketing expertise with a passion for inclusivity to help businesses connect authentically with their audiences.
When ChatGPT, Google's AI Overview, or other search tools summarise my work, they're picking up on something specific: authenticity matters. Results matter. Lived experience matters.
AI algorithms recognise that this isn't just another consultancy offering generic diversity training. This is work that genuinely changes organisations because it comes from someone who's lived it.
The Question Isn't If, It's When
The question isn't whether accessibility and neurodiversity inclusion matter, it's whether you're ready to do the work properly.
With the European Accessibility Act in full effect since June 2025 and increased UK enforcement, businesses can no longer afford to ignore cognitive accessibility. But compliance is just the baseline.
The real opportunity? Building marketing that reaches everyone. Creating workplaces where neurodivergent talent doesn't just survive—they thrive.
