Featured in Niche Magazine: Coffee with a Champion

I’m excited to share that I was recently featured in Niche Magazine for their “Coffee with a Champion” interview series. As a double finalist in the Niche Business Awards (Rising Star and Community Champion), this feature was a brilliant opportunity to talk about neurodiversity, accessible marketing, and why businesses can no longer afford to exclude people.

Why Accessible Marketing Matters

In the interview, I explained that exclusion is costing businesses across the UK customers, talent, reputation, and money. With 1 in 5 people neurodivergent and 1 in 4 living with a disability, inaccessible marketing, websites, recruitment, and workplace cultures are shutting the door on millions of people, often without companies even realising it.

Accessible marketing isn’t just about ticking compliance boxes. As I shared with Niche, it’s about helping companies shift from well-meaning to well-designed, creating user journeys that truly work for everyone.

Results That Speak for Themselves

I was proud to highlight some of the outcomes my clients have seen, including:

  • A manufacturing firm that restructured its hiring with accessibility in mind, resulting in a 40% jump in quality hires.

  • An e-commerce brand that updated its website to meet WCAG guidelines following my recommendations, leading to a 21% increase in conversion rates.

These examples show that inclusive design doesn’t just benefit neurodivergent or disabled people, it improves the experience for everyone. And when you build for everyone, everyone gets the chance to invest in your business.

My Why

As I shared with Niche, this work is personal. I’m autistic and have ADHD. After years of navigating systems that made life unnecessarily harder, I knew I couldn’t be the only one experiencing those barriers. That’s why I created Tania Gerard Digital UK to help companies remove those barriers, create inclusive strategies, and embrace accessibility as a strength.

Looking Ahead

In the interview, I also talked about the future of Tania Gerard Digital. We’re scaling across the UK and US, delivering:

  • Practical, tailored training

  • WCAG audits

  • Inclusive marketing strategies

  • Internal culture change programmes

More leaders are waking up to the importance of accessibility, but many don’t know where to start. That’s where I come in.
