National Diversity Awards
I’m incredibly honored to share that I’ve been nominated for the Positive Role Model Award for Disability, sponsored by BT, at this year’s National Diversity Awards!
This prestigious event, backed by HSBC Bank, OVO, AutoTrader, BT Group, Airbus, and more, is a celebration of individuals and organisations who are driving change and breaking down barriers across the UK. To even be considered among so many inspiring humans is truly humbling.
Why This Award Matters
The Positive Role Model Award isn’t just about recognition, it’s about impact. Role models inspire others to see possibilities they may never have considered, to push past obstacles, and to create meaningful change in their communities.
This award acknowledges individuals who:
✅ Show selflessness in their work
✅ Drive change in their industry and beyond
✅ Inspire others to break down barriers
As someone who has spent my career advocating for neurodiversity and accessibility, this nomination means the world to me. It’s a reflection of the work I’ve done to support businesses, empower individuals, and ensure that neurodivergent people are not just included but valued, understood, celebrated and able to drop their masks.
My Mission: Making Inclusion the Norm, Not the Exception
From my work as a neurodiversity trainer and accessible marketing consultant to co-hosting the ADHD Founders Unfiltered podcast, my goal has always been to create spaces where neurodivergent individuals don’t have to mask, fight for basic support, or feel like they don’t belong.
This nomination isn’t just about me, it’s about all of us working towards a more inclusive world. Every workshop I deliver, every talk I give, and every resource I create is part of a bigger movement to change the way businesses, schools, and society as a whole understand and support neurodivergent individuals.
The National Diversity Awards: A Celebration of Real Change
The National Diversity Awards shine a spotlight on those making a difference across communities, industries, and workplaces. It’s an event that reminds us that diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just buzzwords, they are the foundation of a better, more just society.
The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony, where people from all walks of life will come together to celebrate the incredible work being done to break down barriers and build a more inclusive future.
What’s Next?
Whether I win or not, this nomination is already a win for neurodiversity, accessibility, and inclusion. It means that the conversations we are having matter, and that people are recognising the importance of creating environments where everyone can be their true selves.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my journey so far, this wouldn’t be possible without the incredible people and communities I’ve had the privilege to work with.
