Canva Just Made Tania Gerard One of Its Official Canvassadors for 2026, and Here's Why That's a Huge Deal for Accessible Marketing

Tania Gerard, founder of Tania Gerard Digital, has been named a Canva SMB Canvassador for 2026, joining a small group of creators championing accessible and inclusive design.

I'm proud to say it. I've been chosen as a Canva SMB Canvassador for 2026.

What is a Canva SMB Canvassador, and why does it matter?

Canva Canvassadors are a hand-picked group of small business owners and creators who champion Canva to their communities. For 2026, that group includes me.

If you run a business, you've almost certainly used Canva. It's one of the biggest design platforms in the world, and it's the tool millions of small businesses rely on to create content that looks professional without needing a design degree. Being chosen to represent that platform, as someone who works specifically in accessible and inclusive marketing, is exactly the kind of recognition I've been working toward for years.

Why Canva has always been part of my story

Tania Gerard Digital has had Canva embedded in our system for years, and honestly, even before I started the business, Canva was already how I worked. It's the tool that makes accessible, inclusive content genuinely achievable, and genuinely fun, for the businesses we work with.

That's not a small thing. So much of what I do is about breaking down barriers to good marketing. Canva has always been part of how I do that, quietly, in the background, on every single project.

The community I'm now part of

Being part of this Canvassador community means everything to me. I get to share this with a group of people whose work I already admire: Fab Giovanetti, Lucy Hall, Ollie McGrath, Marie-Louise O'Neill, Lea Turner, Kelly Shungu MIET, Jess Bruno, and Areej AbuAli.

If you don't already follow them, go and do it now. Their content and their work are exactly the kind of thing that makes this community special.

I also want to say a proper thank you to Lorna Bladen. For everything you've done for me so far, and for just being an incredible human being. I'm so glad our paths crossed.

What this means for accessible marketing in the UK and US

With Canva behind us, we get to champion accessible and inclusive content even louder, across the UK and the US.

Watch this space for:

  • Training sessions and panels on inclusive marketing

  • Conversations on AI and accessibility

  • Practical guidance on building genuinely inclusive designs

For now, we celebrate

There's a lot more to come. But for today, I'm just letting myself sit in this one. Proud, grateful, and ready for what 2026 has in store.
