The Icons of UK Just Named Tania Gerard One to Watch, and Her Story Explains Exactly Why

I've been featured by The Icons of UK, and honestly, seeing my own story written back to me like this has been a moment!

What The Icons of UK is all about

The Icons of UK spotlights people making a genuine difference across British business and industry. Being included among them, as the founder of one of the UK's first consultancies entirely dedicated to accessible marketing and neurodiversity, is a recognition I don't take lightly.

The story behind Tania Gerard Digital

Before TGD existed, I spent over a decade climbing the corporate ranks in high-pressure digital marketing environments, eventually reaching Head of Digital. What most people didn't see was the exhaustion of masking every day inside systems built exclusively for neurotypical minds.

That exhaustion is exactly what I channelled into building my own firm. Drawing from my own lived experience with ADHD and autism, I turned personal insight into practical, high-impact business solutions that help companies move from basic awareness into meaningful action.

What TGD actually does differently

My work is about dismantling the communication barriers that sit between employees, employers and clients, and proving that digital accessibility isn't a compliance checklist. It's an essential asset for modern business performance.

That work is trusted by major national organisations including the NHS, Greene King and Swim England, with measurable results behind it, including reduced employee attrition and real recruitment cost savings.

Taking the message further

Alongside advisory work, I speak on stages as a keynote speaker and DEI advocate, including as a TEDx speaker, where I introduced audiences to my trademarked IMPACT™ Framework for Accessible Marketing. It's a practical model for how companies can design systems that genuinely work for every mind, not just some.

Why this recognition matters

Being named an Icon of the UK isn't just personal recognition, it's proof that accessible marketing and neuro-inclusive business practice are being taken seriously at a national level. That's exactly the shift I've spent years pushing for.

If you want to talk accessible marketing strategy, neuro-inclusive workplace systems, digital accessibility compliance, or inclusive leadership, my door is open.
