Tania Gerard Digital Just Won a Major East Midlands Leadership Award, and Here's What It Took to Get There

Incredibly proud and honoured doesn't quite cover it. Tania Gerard Digital has taken home the Diversity & Inclusion Leader award at this year's East Midlands Leadership Awards, hosted by TheBusinessDesk.com.

A year of growth behind the win

The last twelve months have been a journey of real growth and expanded reach for TGD, not just across the East Midlands, but the UK and the US too. To be recognised like this, in the region I call home, means everything.

This isn't a win that came out of nowhere. It's the result of a year spent taking accessible marketing and neurodiversity training further than ever before, working with organisations who genuinely wanted to do better, and proving that accessibility isn't a compliance checkbox, it's good business.

Why this award matters so much

I really hope to help make the East Midlands recognised for this work across the world. None of this happens without the support I've had from local businesses and communities here, and I don't take that lightly.

This award is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together to build more inclusive spaces. It belongs just as much to the clients who trusted TGD with their accessibility journey as it does to me.

What this means going forward

Winning an award like this isn't the finish line, it's fuel. There's more work to do, more companies to reach, and more spaces to make genuinely inclusive, across the East Midlands and well beyond it.

For now though, I'm letting this one sink in.
